The Accessible Navigation to Employment (ANTE) Program was a national training initiative developed by the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association and Mohawk College that was dedicated to improving the foundational and transferable skills of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Canadians.

The ANTE program consisted of 9 skills-upgrading, micro-credential courses for Deaf and Hard of Hearing adults at no cost. The courses were designed to be accessible, and eligible learners had the option to complete up to a 200-hour paid placement.

The program also provided employers with resources and training on accessible communication practices and tools to facilitate accessible hiring and work experiences.

Our goal was to practically combat the barriers that Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities face when seeking employment and provide a sense of hope to a group of individuals who are motivated to learn, connect, and contribute to their local communities
